How the rules are checked
Every rule comes from an official source: GOV.UK, legislation.gov.uk, nidirect, the Irish Statute Book, the Road Safety Authority or NDLS. Each is quoted on the rules page with the date we read it. Where official sources don't settle a question, the checker says so instead of guessing.
